Why It Is Important to Have a Community
One key aspect of wellness is the SOCIAL aspect.
Feeling a connection with those around you, the support from others and a sense of belonging to a community increases your overall health.
Community does a few other cool things too...
… creates trust and accountability
… increases self-esteem and confidence
...and creates more opportunity for personal growth by learning from and sharing with others.
This is one reason that our families and friends mean so much to us! And why healthy relationships are so important.
But what you may not realize is that having a fitness and nutrition community can be just as important!
Connecting with others around your fitness and nutrition goals, joining a Facebook group, or starting a program that provides the expertise of a certified coach and the support of others are great ways to become part of a wellness community.
When you have someone else on your team, you also have someone else to hold you accountable, motivate you, pump up the energy and inspire you.
It’s harder to give up when you have a team rooting for you and following your journey.
And success can be sweeter when you have a community with whom you can share your victories!
